Les Machines de l'Ile
Rocked by the magical world of Leonard de Vinci and the mechanical one of Jules Verne, two sweet crazy men, François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice thought about an unbelievable project by revisiting the industrial past of shipyards.
« Les Machines de l’Île » are an invitation to explore our imagination.
In the Machine Gallery, place of moving performances, a new world is set up : the plant and « Arbre aux Hérons » one. Imagine being carried away by a large-scale 8 meter heron, overflying the big model of « L’Arbre aux Hérons », at the heart of the gallery.
To the exit of the big nave, embark on a surprising pachyderm, a huge elephant 12 meters high and 8 meters hide which will walk you on the quays of Nantes.
Discover the new installation, the « Carrousel des Mondes Marins » (The Carousel of the Marine World) joins by a whole set of machines : « Le Luminaire des Grands Fonds » (The Lamp of Ocean Depths), « le Calamar à rétropropulsion » (The Squid with Reverse Thrust), « le Crabe Géant » (The Giant Crab) or the last one « le Serpent des Mers » (The Sea Serpent).
A visit in « Les Machines de l’Île » will remain for all a childhood memory.
